Edouard Hue offers three intense workshop days built around his choreographic material. The days will begin with a physical dance class, delving deep into a multitude of movement qualities through different tools and tasks. These moments are focused on the evolution of the body and its possibilities, notably using improvisational techniques. The rest of the time is dedicated to learning company repertoire from the solo FORWARD, blending fluid and bestial movements together. The complex choreography is demanding and physically tiring, requiring a high degree of bodily precision.

About Edouard Hue:

© Gregory Batardon

Edouard Hue, who began as a hip hop dancer before joining the contemporary dance program of Conservatoire d’Annecy, and then the Ballet Junior de Genève, is first and foremost a performer who puts his physicality in service of pure movement. As a performer, he has experience with choreographic extremes, working with Hofesh Shechter, Damien Jalet, Olivier Dubois and swiftly developing his own unique style, mixing masterful virtuosity and playful spontaneity. He received the

Swiss Dance Prize “Exceptional Dancer” in 2019. He naturally turned to choreography, pulling from his professional experience, on his quest for independence, to develop his own choreographic language.

About the Beaver Dam Company

Beaver Dam Company / Edouard Hue currently has 6 pieces (solo, duos and group pieces) that tour worldwide. Over the course of the company’s existence, it has been supported by Pro-Helvetia – Swiss foundation for culture, which included a mentoring program with Olivier Dubois for “Meet me halfway”. His solo “FORWARD” was part of Philippe Saire’s Dance and Dramaturgy Program at Théâtre Sévelin 36 and he is artist in residence at the Seynod Auditorium – Regional Stage Auvergne Rhône- Alpes since 2016.
